they prob screwed up on the year not the model. I bet its an 05 not an 06. making it an evo vIII. were the seats black and grey or blue and black suede? The blue ones are in the VIII unless you got an ssl which obviously will have leather.

Those things cause a lot of bucking issues.
OP, you need to post pics or a link to the car you're buying so we can tell you what it is since you don't seem to know
Also, the SE models were only available as a 2006 IX (they were basically the replacement for the 2007 since we didn't get those here).

This thread is full of wrong information. What bov/dv you should use depends on how much air you are moving and if you are using a MAF. Sure the stocker works at stockish boost levels, but once you get even higher it gets pretty bad. I tend to stay away from HKS products...
What psi and what turbo are you going to be using?
Wrong.

run a carfax for the correct year or post the VIN and someone can help you out. As for the DV, I run a Synapse Synchronic and have no issues, great driveability and holds an incredible amount of boost. For lightly modded to heavily modded street Evo's the IX DV is the best price and works awesome on stock frame turbo cars.

for the world market you are correct, I'm pretty sure that since whoever started this thread isn't really interested (yet) in what the rest of the world is doing with there Evo's though, for the USDM market there was never a 2007 Evo IX per se. Check and see if you have the metal stock DV or the black plastic one, if you have the black plastic one replace it with the metal one from a USDM 2006 Evo IX. Model doesn't matter, people like to specify that the parts they are selling are from an MR like it makes them worth more.
