Didn't you do enough research to be able to know if its a VIII or IX? Its never a good idea to jump into a car blind and not know what to look for,or even what your looking at.
Like everyone has said the stock metal DV (IX) works very well and holds a good amount of boost.I also like APS's twin vent BOV holds boost very well and no problems with bucking etc..
I will say there's no need to replace the DV on a completely stock car.

Those things cause a lot of bucking issues.
OP, you need to post pics or a link to the car you're buying so we can tell you what it is since you don't seem to know
Also, the SE models were only available as a 2006 IX (they were basically the replacement for the 2007 since we didn't get those here).

The last eight of your VIN is going to be 5UXXXXXX or 6UXXXXXX
Guess what the 5 or 6 stands for? But if you are really confused it could be a 3 or 4.
JDM MR valve is my vote for best and most reliable.
