Didn't you do enough research to be able to know if its a VIII or IX? Its never a good idea to jump into a car blind and not know what to look for,or even what your looking at.

Like everyone has said the stock metal DV (IX) works very well and holds a good amount of boost.I also like APS's twin vent BOV holds boost very well and no problems with bucking etc..

I will say there's no need to replace the DV on a completely stock car.

Guys, he's from pluto, the atmospheric condition there is much more caustic than earths. I'm sure the bov will work better there!

OR you just got F'd and bought a 2005 thinking it was a 2006. Check the build date sticker.

10th # on the VIN will tell you the year, also if your first mod is going to be a BOV I'm sure the stock one will work great, unless the car is moddem

OP, you need to post pics or a link to the car you're buying so we can tell you what it is since you don't seem to know

Also, the SE models were only available as a 2006 IX (they were basically the replacement for the 2007 since we didn't get those here).
You have to be more careful with your throttle, no question. But it holds alot more boost than the stock Metal BOV.. depends on what his mod goals are.

The last eight of your VIN is going to be 5UXXXXXX or 6UXXXXXX

Guess what the 5 or 6 stands for? But if you are really confused it could be a 3 or 4.

JDM MR valve is my vote for best and most reliable.

looks like SUXXXXXX AND SEXXXXXXX. Kinda like a set of twins and ones distinctively hotter then the other

Best and most reliable under 30psi is the stock IX DV.

Anything above that, I highly highly recommend the Tial. Zero idling issues and I didn't even have to tune for it.

I wanted a Tomei bov or the stock bov but the Tomei only holds up to 1.4bar which is 20.3psi. I ran about 25psi of boost. I don't think the Tomei will be able to hole that much boost for my application
