Wow, 530 im impressed, on pump gas with so few mods i might have to get the black sooner then i thought . Imagine if the guy had a o2 dump on his car he would of made 550 whp no problem. Junior knows what he is doing and tunes well. I wouldnt go to any other tuner. Is the head of his car ported?

No if I remember correctly the motor is bone stock. Stock rods, pistons, valves, springs, retainers, and head ports stock. As for going with a o2 dump they haven't had luck with the fp black and o2 dumps the only customer who had one bought 2 different brands of dumps and they both had creep issues. Which makes me think porting the hotside of the turbo is a must.

I wish I had the money for a FP Black right now but I'm happy with my red

The guy that has boost creep issues is on a 2.3. Also, I was told the jm fab o2 dump is the one to use with the fp black to not have boost creep issues.

I think his torque was 380. If the motor was built it would have been 450

why get a black without building the motor? dont blow you motor. you ll be paying big bucks to get a new block, crank, oil pump, cooler, the build and prolly need head work.

I'll bet you any amount of money I can install and tune a black for 500+ hp and it won't blow up. There are tons of 500+hp stock motor members on the forums and the cars run without problem. The life of the motor depends on the tune and how the drive takes care of the car.

so your saying 250whp evo vs 600whp evo should hold up the same as long as the tune is good? oh I thought the more power the more likely you may eventually blow the motor.

Actually this is going to be the best 02 dump on the market and uses the JMF flange so that you don't have problems with boost creep. Hell on a built 2.3L sometime boost creep is not a problem, just means more power most the time.

This new design is the best of both worlds. Someone copied my setup...

not in theory again tq blows motors. The 600whp evo will wear quicker motorwise then the lower just build the motor and you will not have issues I'm assuming this is stock longblock you are referring to for these numbers

Correct 600 hp with low tq will wear the motor down early the ring, bearings, and other rotating parts of the motor. But the Tq on a stock block will snap a rod in 2. 400-420 is IMHO the max tq our motors should put out as to not snap the rods. I'm making 400lbs that is enough for a second gear pull to spin the wheels on the street just doing a pull from 2500rpm why would I want more then that? Building the motor would be the way to go and the customer I was speaking of his car is not his daily driver but he likes to enjoy it on the weekends so for right now he is happy but he doesn't want to take the chance of loosing compression or throwing a rod that is why he is taking it easy and then building a motor in the spring......ie tax return
