Seems pretty high, even for the RRE dynapak.
I was thinking the same thing ,,Can it be maybe a stroker motor??
isn't the spool kinda late for a evo 9 turbo?? around 4k

I would lean this way. Looks like you were lied to, in a good way.Originally Posted by ant_turbo

yeah with that much torque you will start wrecking things for sure. I don't see how those numbers are possible with that setup.

Numbers seem off. I have a Evo IX with a FP 71hta on E85, tuned at 30psi, running full bolt-ons (including a 02 dump), and I put down 450whp and 400wtq on the stock block and head studs on a dynapack. I'm also on stock cams, but regardless these numbers seem very high. UNLESS, you were lied to and this has a built motor and is not stock like you were initially told

Also here's some food for thought. I was talking a local tuner who also has a dynapack. He was telling me that dynapacks used to read a little on the high side similar to how mustangs read on the low side. He told me that they offered a software update a while back and now they read within 1-3% of a dynojet. I can personally attest to this as my car has been on both a DJ and a DP and it puts down almost identical numbers on both. It's possible that this dynapack doesn't have that update.

That's a lot of TQ from a stock 2.0 and turbo, If the mod list is accurate that is one hell of a Wednesday motor!
Bought the car from CarMax and highly doubt they know much about the car They probably bought it threw auction, I'm the 3rd owner
This is my second Evo 9 that I have owned and my previse evo 9 with similar mods with hks cams and stock o2 housing stock turbo only made 424/414 same dyno same boost e85, So ya I was surprised with these numbers also

Check the engine code, see if its a 4G64. Another way to check the deck height, put a timing cover on the top portion of the timing belt and see if the lower holes line up. This is an easy way to tell if you have an added 6mm of deck height.Originally Posted by ant_turbo

Ya my friend has a shop nd works on evos so I'll have him check it out Hey what do think about how the stock turbo is spooling according to the Dyno it's at full spool by 4k I thought 9 turbo spool a little earlier can this be from the cams GSC S2

I cant speak for the boost as I do not see it. 4k is ballpark though. Just be glad you arnt at 6k.
One thing it can come down to is, what gear you are in and at what RPM you start the pull at. All determining factors. If 4k is still to high, then downshift.
