VTA tuned?

Can a tuner tune a VTA BOV like the HKS so that it doesn't affect drivabity?

Yes!!!!!!! I am tuned and I have the Tial BOV on mine. I have no issues with it and have been running it well over a year. Keep in mind that even being tuned with a VTA blow off valve while utilyzing the MAF, you will still experience surging or also known as flutter.

Convert to speed density, you can do it yourself. Read around the ECU tuning area, it's really helpful.

Ok its easier said then done. You can convert to speed density, but the truth of the matter is it will not eliminate surge or flutter. With speed density you will be able to run a vta set up bov without having to worry abotu crazy air/fuel rations and running rich in between shifts. You will still have flutter and surge though. Speaking by experience btw.

is the flutter and surge harmful?? Especially with an HKS SSQV BOV? Cuz that doesnt flutter at all, EVER. Solid blow off no matter how much boost, speaking from experiance. But had the crazy air/fuel spikes and what not causing insane drivability problems, thats why i was wondering whats the best route to go, tuner, or speed density?

The best way is to convert to speed density meaning you will get tuned. Speed density really isnt needed until your stock ecu is maxed out with hp. Around the 600 mark. So as of right now it is best to recirculate. If you want the blow off sound, you can just get a dual port blow off valve. You are one of the lucky ones that isnt experiencing flutter. But I can guarantee you are experiencing surge. Partial throttle and gently letting off will do this.

Well that's the thing I don't want to spend another 300$ on a aps twin vent when I've already spent 300$ on this HKS that's why I'm trying to see if you can get tuned for VTA

Yeah you can get tuned with a vta blow off valve. I heard alot of bad things about the hks bov though. Honestly I would try and sell it and get a twin vent, or just stick to a recirc bov. If you are doing it just for the sound, you need to take in consideration that you will be doing damage to the turbo after a while. Even if you dont feel negative issues, it will still cause harm. If you are going to vta, your best bet is to get tuned and convert to speed density. you can buy a sd kit for 165 bucks on here
