I am pretty new to the site just got a SUPER evo 8 off here from my buddy kevin for a hell of a deal!!! I was just wondering what kind of coolant to use and oil and any other fluids for future references. i searched coolant type to use on google and on here an couldnt find anything. prolly could do oil too but might as well put it on here and see what ppl say. I know for my last car (srt4) it called for some gm orange coolant and i didnt know if these cars take special coolant like that too or what not. thanks in advanced for any help.

 

there are alot of different opinions on what should be used.. but do a seach and you should find what your looking for! the search button is your friend!

 

yeap just did i found some oil but still cant find anything on coolant.

I always put in mobil 1 10-30 full synthetic.

As far as the coolant, I never personally changed it. CBRD and Buschur and Pruven did when major work was done. I imagine any 50/50 would work fine.

 

When I changed my coolant, I used the OEM coolant. As for oil, I use Mobil 1 10W-30. I recommend using the OEM fluids for just about everything except for brake fluid.

 

I am about to change my fluids on my stock evo. For motor Oil I use Mobil 1 Fully synthetic extended performance. I have heard from many that you want to go with OEM fluids for the rear diff and transfer case. As far as tranny oil, I will be using AMSOIL. 50/50 should be fine for coolant.
