I have an 06 Evo IX Se GG... why in NADA books and kelly they dont have an add for the SE it is basically an MR with out the 6 speed and the Shocks? i would easilly pay more money for an SE over just a reg. IX! when i bought mine i payed more. Wouldn't anyone else? just my own thought?

but no "REAL" retail books show it? only people who really know evo's would know... a dealer would try and rip you off if you sold it to them cause they would have no idea!

I would think it would cost more. Not too much though, because of depreciation.

well the MR books for about 2500 more... but it easily has a $2500 6 speed tranny the $1500 recaro's with alcantara suede and leather... the $1500 forged bbs wheels... the $250 lip... the $500 bilstein shocks... the $500 aluminum roof.... but the SE has all of that except the tranny, roof, and shocks... so what or how much would you say an SE is worth over just a reg. IX?

MR and GSR have the same seats - the SE versions of both just have red stitching, SSL has full leather seats.

And I thought all SEs have the aluminum roof? Don't forget HIDs too, which the regular GSR does not come with (though the regular MR does)

Unfortunately adding up all those different pieces doesn't add to the value of the car. In the end it depends on what it's worth to the person - I personally would be willing to spend $1000 more on an SE over a regular - and personally I think that's pretty high considering there aren't any real changes to the car that influence performance, save for the roof (which doesnt matter between two MRs anyway)

and what is the SSL i have never seen one ever... i see that all the time but never knew what it was? but ok 1000 seems fair i think that is fairly average for an se over a reg.

SSL is the "SUN, SOUND, LEATHER" package.

I personally feel that an SE is easily worth selling for $2500 more than a GSR, for all the aforementioned reasons, and simply because it IS the most sought after evo there is.

So KBB or NADA might say different, but if you're selling privately to someone who's looking for an SE, they'll pay that premium.

I agree with the 2500 as well... i searched around for about 5 months before i bought my 06 IX SE GG on thanksgiving day in 08' when retail was like 26 for the IX and 28,5XX for the MR and i payed 21,000 cause my father owns a dealership so he just bought it as a wholesale but i drove about 1,500 miles to get it in his Rig so i didnt put any miles on it! but i easily would have payed $2500 more anyday, some evos on autotrader and stuff with like 10,000 miles are still going for 30K, F*** THAT! I love my evo but not for 30K maybe 24k now even though book is like 22k

sorry cant agree with that at all. SE most sought after dont think so i see more people trying to Gun for a RS due to weight saving then the SE anyday of the week. I personally dont want a stripped down evo like the RS but it serves its purpose.

+1. I've had all the Evos...and here I am in an RS now. I had the hardest time fighting to get this one and paid a very pretty penny for it.

SE is just a package added, it doesn't change the VIN of the car. A 5 Speed SE is still a normal IX, and an MR SE is just an MR by VIN. Dealers don't care what package you have, to them it might as well be aftermarket parts.
