Both are expensive to own. I've had a evo 9 then a E46 M3 and I am back in a Evo. Now that is only because of what I want to do with the car and thats go to the track hpde's. I would like to be competitive at some point. The M3 is a brilliant car thats easy to drive, fast and sexy. The Evo is easy to drive too however looks are subjective. If your looking for a pu$$y magnet go M3. If you want a fun car to drive and your not going to mod past inatke and exhaust again go M3. If you want a car that responds very well to mods and is a bit less expensive to mod go Evo. My problem with the M3 is to really set it apart from every other one its gonna take so $$$$..

I would not say that as M3e46 owner in past brake pads cost about 85US clutch about 300EURO except flywheel (in Ukraine)

the only thing RWD burns rear tires)))

wow

I am selling my BMW and my Evo, I will miss the Evo but I have replaced it with a real racecar. The BMW I would gladly light on fire and push off a cliff, twice. Take from that what you will.

It depends on what you value in a car.

It looks like an E46 would be much better suited for you. I love E46's almost got one myself. I love driving my cousin and his friends E46's. The comfort and style doesn't compare to an Evo.

Here is my cousin E46:
