Is this 06 Evo MR w/67kmiles worth $18k?

Hey, so my friend has been looking at getting an Evo. He found this one which is the closest to our location, and called the guy about it. He said there was scratches and the front lip was kind of messed up. My friend asked if he could take pics and email them to him as well as a pic of the engine bay (waiting on that). But cosmetics is an easy fix, what he's worried about is the mileage. He currently owns an 09 Honda Accord with 9k miles and still owes $19k, he's contemplating whether it's smart to get rid of that for an Evo that has basically 7x the mileage? Im curious as to what you guys think, and what else is there to exactly look out for in an Evo with 67k miles?

Here's the link:

Thanks, much appreciated!

I would ask for recent pics. Those pics were taken at 51k miles...

look for the 60k miles service, gears grinding (since that one is a 6spd, since the 6 spd doesnt lie the abusement much)

NO. Getting rid of a car you owe 19k on is going to end up in a MAJOR loss for your friend. He will basically have nothing to put down on that vehicle.

He's in a financial hole on his current vehicle. He probably got great financing on the 09 Accord. He still owes 19k on it. He's not going to get 19k when he tries to sell it. So he will still owe some on the Accord. Then he takes a new loan out on the EVO at a much higher interest rate.

He'd be stupid to make the switch.

As a above, if the 60k service has been done and everything checks out, then yes its worth 18k. Its easy to tell someone to 'wait for a better deal' but fact is its going to be hard to find a clean MR for under that.

Seems a little fishy to me. Pics were taken with 51k on it and now it has 67k. That's a lot of mileage for things to happen. Negative here, I wouldn't even waste my time.
