WHP question

Hi, I have a 2003 Evo VIII, current mods AMS turboback, ARC induction box. Putting in walboro fuel pump, MBC, blox front motor mount and getting a tune when everythings done. What WHP would I be at ? I want to get 300+ . Thanks.

What boost level are you looking to run? Also, what type of fuel, 93 or e-85?

I think at running 24-26psi you will reach 300awhp with those mods on 93 octane.

I'm guessing about 5 beeelion, but I've been known to be off. DJ or MD (or the like)? I'm sure you'll top 300 on a DJ. I'm not sure about a MD but probably pretty close, depending on your tuner and the aforementioned fuel used.

^sounds like you still have a lot of back pressure then? Stock TBE, without a dump of any kind? The IC/piping will help up front but you're still choking out the back. You probably wouldn't do as well as the OP, especially with 91 octane.

If you get it dyno tuned you might be a little more informed.

From what I have seen, most 03/04 VIII's usually hit passed the 300 mark with all the basic bolt-ons and cams.

wow you dont need every single basic mod and cams to hit 300. thats a fairly low/easy mark to hit without cams

You'll need some cams and get rid of that ARC induction box and get a cone to replace it.

Maybe on a dynojet, def not on a mustang, you'll need cams to do that.

300whp on a MD needs cams? Or are you saying something else?

+1 with da Rock, you can hit 300whp easy on a DJ - TBE + mbc + tune. Add an intake and a walbro and you'll likely clear 320whp. I say a walbro not for power, but so you don't run out of juice if your tuner can take it there!

All bolt-ons + good cams should clear 350whp without much trouble.

BTW Rome - remove that stock cat if you can! I'd say go test pipe if possible, but not sure how HI is for that. At least a HFC! This is coming from someone that went HFC at first because I wasn't sure of the smell due to having kids in the car. Remove the blockage to see the potential!
