I have a Lancer ES....iunfortunatley its an automatic....can you still get exhaust system....intake...and other performance parts with an automatic without everything ****tin the bed?
or does it really matter whether its a manual or automatic?

Doesnt really matter... can't get a CAI, gotta go with a Short Ram intake, that's pretty much the only difference.

exhaust system and torque convertor are two very different things, it sounds like u're thinking they are similar..im not trying to offend u or anything but do u know what a torque convertor is? are u sure u're not mistaking it for catalytic convertor?

 

getting exhaust...intake...ect..isnt going to screw up my transmission is it?...its an automatic...most exhaust and intakes say "for manual only"...(besides cold intake because it wont even fit)

ok i see what u're saying..you wont have to worry about the transmission tho, exhaust and intake will not put considerate stress on your drivetrain. even people with turbo's have not complained about the transmission in the lancer.

a performance torque convertor will help tho, the one from level10 claims to lower 1/4 mile times by .5 sec to 1 sec or something. it's really effecient if u ask me..

and the only reason a CAI (cold air intake) will say manual only is because it just wont physically fit in the engine bay with the automatic transmission in the way. thats why all auto tranny owners go short ram intake way or make their own CAI. i dont see a reason why an exhaust will say manual only..it doesnt matter at all if it's auto or manual tranny

CAI vs short ram isnt really that significant, maybe a little. it's just the theory that cold air = more oxygen so it may yield a few hp at most.

I wouldn't worry about CAI vs SRI, I have a manual, and I chose the short ram. Road///Race makes a very good short ram. Rob, the owner, was talking about making parts like a venturi to help speed up the air coming in.

Anyway, yeah, there's plenty for you. Short Ram Intake, Header, High flow cat/test pipe, Exhaust.Road///Race makes a great turbo kit for the auto, as well as rebored throttle bodies and intake manifolds. Then there's suspension. Strut bars, sway bars, Progress springs. And last but not least, there's plenty of show mods out there to make your car look as cool as it is. Check out that site, it's got plenty of things for any model of Lancer.

 

Does the ES turbo kit have blow off valve?does it sound like a m/t blow off valve?
