how long to coilovers last
Longer than stock shocks with lowering springs, that's all that matters to me. But it's gonna be hard to get an answer here, since most of us haven't put that many miles on them. Mine are doing great, but I've only had them on for about 13k miles.
Have you looked into Tein's rebuild service yet, I guess just as a precautionary thing, should/once the coilovers go south? Obviously there'd be down time involved if you didn't have a) a spare set b) all the stock componentry or c) a rental/loaner.
i called tein usa and they said they will rebuild the insides but nothing cosmeticly or anything with the brackets. the rebuild also costs like 700 dollars. i have about 20K miles on my coilovers and they're doin ok for now. they do make some noises and im looking/saving/expecting on a new setup in the next year or two.
EDIT: i did have some installation issues which caused minor damage.
