My current mods are Stock block, Full intercooler piping, ETS FMI, HKS 272's, Walbro 255 and of coarse a CamTuned here in Albuquerque, making 362hp/369tq.
My concern with the setup is ill be happy with it for a short amount of time but then later want to go bigger turbo. Im not really familiar with all these other turbo setups out there that my stock motor can handle. I didnt want to spend no more then $3k to $3,500. Is the FP red gonna satisfy me with 500Hp on E-85?
I have quite a few customers at 520awhp on the FP Red but I recommend a built short block for that because the tq is about 480, too much for the stock rods.

I have some other customers at 480awhp on the FP Red with less boost and about 435tq which thus far has been successful on the stock short block for quit some time, maybe a year now.

a FP Black will hit a little later in the RPM range and thus the tq could be slightly less but the power could be higher and held out to higher rpm better.

You'll want at least 1250cc injectors and twin walbro to support this much fuel on e85

Yes hurry and get the Black. I would love to see what it will do on your car. Remember 550hp out of a HTA3582 (black) is fairly safe. Just keep the torque below or around 425ish give or take. I ran my stock motor at 540hp/435tq for over a year and we just took the motor apart and English Racing said it looked like is was 400hp and everything looked perfect Good luck and let us know if you need anything.

Totally agree, however if you go with the Black and plan to build your motor in the future I would go ahead and get FIC 1450cc injectors so you don't have to change injectors again. The 1200s will begin to go static between 650-675hp depending on your tune.

There is a possibility that I will build my motor up but its not really in the planning yet.
Is that low of torque like that due to the size of the turbo?

Do you think I will be fine with 1000cc injectors, on a single walbro to make 550hp?

If you get a double pumper now, you'll be set for now and the future. And that yellow kills my eyes.

What are you taking about low torque? My numbers, or in general?

Yes the larger the turbo the lower the tq. You will be spooling later in rpms, more lag = less tq. However, if you start to create a lot of cylinder pressure from timing and/or keep tuning the boost up above the turbo effeciancy you are going to start making a lot more torque than if you stayed in the turbos compressor map. Does that answer your question?

i personally would build your motor to support what you want safely then you could go all the way with out worrying about how the motor is holding up.
