Yeah. Evo 8s and 9s are damn near going up in price, while Xs are falling. I'm waiting for that awesome moment when I type in "evo" on Ebay and see Xs at the same price as 8s or 9s. I don't know if 9s are going up faster, or Xs are going down

i am not sure where some people here who are saying that there is a ton of evos for sale live. i searched within 500 miles of new hamshire and only pull up 42 evo 10s, allmost all of them except for 1 or 2 are being sold by dealers, for no less than 27K, how is that a lot and a deal???

i own a 2008 volvo s40 and would have to trade it in probably, unless someone here is selling one in new england, and would be willing to entertain my trade+cash.

Last year at this time new EVO's were being advertised for 27-28K by Dealers. I dont really find any less than 25K around 500 miles of Michigan. There may be many who are just trying to test the market.

Your small corner of the United States amounts to a pebble being lobbed into the Mississippi River. Widen your scope to see the big picture. There are indeed quite a few Evo Xs for sale in relation to sample size. Evo Xs aren't exactly popular vehicles. How many do you see driving around on the road in New Hampshire? I'm in a far more populated area than you and I can count on one hand how many I've seen driving around in the last 18 months. With the economy in it's current state spending roughly 35k on a sport compact car isn't high on the priority list of many people. Money can be better spent on a vehicle of better quality, with better fuel consumption, reasonable maintenance and more interior cabin space.

in any regard, when the economy goes, there's always certain things that go first. In business, they cut down on marketing/advertising and hiring. In cars, it's new cars and in particular, sports cars..

You guys are trading in EVO's for trucks and expecting better gas mileage?!!! I don't get that at all. Trucks will NEVER even come close to the MPG on the EVO unless you go diesel and pony up the extra 7-10k.

Besides that, trucks cost as much of more that the X's out there. If you need to haul stuff I get it, but other than that it does not make sense.

The X is fine for transportation, not hauling. The trunk is ridiculous. That is my only real gripe with it.

I only found 4 X's for sale within 200 miles for me. So maybe in the major markets you have a lot for sale. Like SO CAL etc. where tuner cars are more in style overall.

I bought my X used for cheap, so I did not have any more in it than I would buying a regular LANCER. Maybe I have a different perception since I saved 12k up front.

The love for the VIII and IX is that you no longer are under any warranty (mod friendlier) and the cars are much more affordable now vs. new X cars that some cannot afford to risk the warranty void.

We make like... 22 on the highway. A lot of trucks will "come close" to that. Not to say they'll surpass it, or it'll be better, but a lot will come damn close.

That's not to say I can ever see myself trading my X in on a *NEW* truck, but it's not like it'd be a huge downgrade in mileage.

The car was positioned and introduced very poorly. I've been watching used X prices. If thing continue on a similar path, I might buy one in a year or two to add to the stable.
