Ok then i guess i could look for a mildly tuned or stock evo but those ones seem to be alot more expensive.

You may want to keep an eye on the classifieds on this site. At the very least, you'll be able to look at the owner's past threads and see how the car was treated.

I like that idea but it would have to be somebody in either DE, PA, or NJ so that kindof limits my choices.

just keep an eye out on this forum, CL, Autotrader, and Cars.com
if your patient you'll find a car pretty quickly
buying a heavily modded car from someone you dont know is like playing roulette, unless you know what your doing
if your dead set on getting it, make sure you have receipts for EVERYTHING
and find out where he got his motor built at

He says his car was tuned by Sean Ivey and i searched for him on the forums here and found that he is a respectable tuner and it was tuned to work as a daily driver its very mild. He does have dyno sheets that i could look at and said i could even call Sean Ivy to ask about what he did to tune the car up.

This is the guys tuning company website www.iveytune.com

be patient my friend, i know you are excited at getting an evo, BUT dont rush otherwise you will pay for it at the end. If you really really want this car i suggest you get every little detail on it, meaning what parts does he have one? who built the motor? why are there two transmisons or two engines? check the vin? do a compression test. take the car to a reputable shop in your area pay some money and have them check it out and make sure its in good running order. it takes a LOOOt more work to buy a build car, you cant just say "IS THIS A GOOD DEAL?", tell us in deails whats in the car then we can help.

btw no one really likes buying build cars cause if something goes wrong then you have no idea where to start, because you didnt build it or put it together

IIRC, you'll need a few factory brackets. There's a complete list, if you search. Everything bolts on.
