Thats it man,why do it twice when you can do it once...I know its gonna be a bit more expensive than the gsx right now but its still more expensive to buy the gsx then still turn around and buy the evo ......

LMAO yea, the GSX will be cheaper up front but a mony pit in the long run, at least i will be about to drive the Evo months at a time without have to worry about it braking down (lets hope) I just hate the fact its going to be $400 a month for the car and another $105 a month for full cov. insurance, man what i could do with that $505 a month in the bank lol. Thank god for living at home lol

I'd say shop around though, depending on what you're looking for you might be able to find one being sold for less than that....Being realistic you're not gonna hang your hat where you can't reach it so to speak but sometimes you find some nice deals you just have to be a little patient and possibly be prepared to drive a little distance but you'll find it

Oh im with you 100%, Im not spending over $18k on one but i hope to find one around $16k with everything i want and im willing to wait as long as it take, wouldnt mind putting a nice down payment on one to lower the payments alil but its up to how long it takes me to find one, has to be a 04 or higher to finance for 54 months. Im sure i will have to drive or even fly out to get one. Dont see but maybe 2 or 3 evos a year around here (Chattanooga TN Area) much less see one for sale.

I say use a little patience man and get what you really want....I originally wanted an evo from the get go,ended up buying a wrx cause it was a bit cheaper which i spent a ton load of money trying to make it into what i wanted and still ended up buying an evo cause it just wasn't an evo

Both are great cars but i wouldnt mess with a GSX unless you have some extra $$$ stashed so that you can get a 6-bolt engine swap because The 95-99's have a tendency to get (CRANK-WALK).

Honestly i prolly would have got an GSX if it were not for that problem.

Just my $0.02

Good Luck

clean 2g gsxs are expensive usally $5,000 stock. then 6 bolt swap. idk if it were 1g it would be different but you might as well go with a evo for around 12 14 grand just my opinion and i own 2 1g gsxs fyi.

Ok here is a thought..................get the EVO have some fun playing around get it paid down a little bit and then go on the market search again for a 2G and get one later down the road. Both are fun and great. I have a 1st gen TSI and got my EVO almost 2 years ago love them both!!!

If you want performance get the Evo.
If you want to get laid get the GS-X.

Single most over-rated car problem in the history of the auto world. lol. around 11% of the 4g63 produced between 95 and mid 96 had crank issuses. That said get an evo, or get a gsx and a civic to DD.
