Anybody know of this car?

I'm starting my search for an evo and I found a guy that said he'd take $12500 for this Evo VIII. Just wondering if anybody knows of the car or has any advice they could pass along my way. The car is located in Wisconsin. Thanks!

~70,000 on the car
Timing belt done at 57,000
The car is pretty much stock with just an intake, exhaust, lowering springs, bov, short throw shifter, and a tune.

I've read the Beginners Read Me: New To Your Evo Or Looking For An Evo? thread and after searching for an evo for a while, I'm fairly confident this this is a decent deal considering the price and mileage. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!
-Brian

p.s. I look forward to hopefully becoming a member of the evo community in the near future!

Might help if you could narrow down the City, or area where the Evo is located.

^ +1 definitly do a carfax and check and make sure all the vin tags are in place and are all end with the same numbers; trunk, rear bumper, rear door jams/ quarter panel, rear doors, front doors, front fenders, hood, front bumper all have vin tags

+1 on checking all the vin numbers match. Very good idea before you buy car.

Well he sent me the compression numbers and they were a little low. I also finally got the vin number and had my buddy run a carfax only to find out "Salvage title in Illinois from August 2009 then flood damage in November 2009 along with "Broken odometer reported". The guy told me that the car had a clean title, but I guess he was just tryin to play me for a fool. I guess that's why this car was so cheap

^Thanks, but unfortunately I'm still evo-less. I guess that's better than buyin a pos though. I might just keep savin for a few more months and then buy an evo9 instead. Man I hate being so indecisive.

100% save your money and buy a good one it wont bite you in the butt, one of my friends bought this evo and told him numerous times to not buy it had paint work gheto turbo setup kept stalling at idle but it was cheap and he went for it, now it has a blown motor and tons of other stuff going wrong with it, BUY THEM STOCK unless its a really well known car and you dont have emissions to deal with!!!

Were they stock or "returned" to stock? So many ppl just convert back to stock when they wanna sell, and it makes it really difficult to find out what's been beat on.
