Question Next mod?? Any input??

hello I am fairly new to the modding world and so far I have Greddy Comp TI-C Turbo-back Exhaust. I am planning to get a intake + tune next but not sure what brand I should get or what model. Anyone have any suggestions? or Perhaps maybe a completely different mod? Thanks !

The Perrin intake intake makes decent power and doesn't mess with your MAF settings. If your getting a tune, I'd definitely get a manual boost controller too.

This is a good thread to check if you already haven't

Get a manual boost controller and a tune.
How much horsepower are you trying to get?

With a boost controller you can increase the amount of boost your turbo makes. You shouldn't increase the boost until you get it tuned.

If you go with all the mods rockman listed you'll be looking at more than just "moderate" gains, but then again you'll probably be fine with that

MAF is Mass Air Flow, its the method on which the ECU measures air flow to maintain the proper AFR from the factory.

With what Rock suggested you should be able to hit about 350 or so...throw some cams on there also and youll be golder until you wanna build the bottom end and throw a larger turbo on.

On a IX, all you need is a TBE, MBC, and a tune for a quick car that runs as well or better than stock. That's it. Of course, you can add more parts if you like, but to what end?

air filter intake(ams ets injen nesi) Truly minor gains in a stock-ish car with multiple drawbacks
3.5" intercooler Not a bad thing to have....
MBC
3" TBE
testpipe How friendly are the laws in the OP's area?
boostguage Better-off using an upgraded MAP sensor and logging boost. MUCH more accurate, not to mention the rest of the logged info
Tune

there you go

This is really great info on your site. Just checked it out for myself. Gotta quick question for you. I'm having trouble with the stock Coupler that connects my FMIC to the Lower IC Pipe. Do you guys have a strong coupler available with a heavy clamp to keep it from coming off? I checked your site and i'm seeing Front Mounts, Lower IC Pipe Kits, and the likes but no couplers. Do you have anything you would recommend or would you recommend somewhere that sells those? I'd like to find a silicone coupler with a heavy t clamp to keep it from coming off. Thanks!

I used to go to a place called high temp silocone but I think they closed up shop, lately I've been using whatever comes with the turbo kits.
