new guy

Hey guys, I'm new to the evo forums but not to the car itself, I'm practically in love with and I'm in the market for an sti, evo, s4 or srt4. I plan on modding the car once I get it. A couple of questions, how comfortable is your evo if you daily drive it and would a 450-500 hp evo be ideal for a daily driver? I would love to dd it.

Depends on you really...some people are fine DD'ing 600+ whp evo's some aren't.

And as a side note, I'd throw the Sti and srt-4 out of that list. SRT4 is fwd = fail, and the STi isn't going to match the evo handling wise. The s4 vs the evo really comes down to what you are looking for (I own both) and I can tell you first hand don't even debate the s4 unless you have a TON of $$$ to throw at it. You have to pull the motor on that car to install pretty much anything. Evo is going to be your best bang for the buck both with initial performance and with mods. The S4 is a good option if you want to retain the luxury feel and have the $$$ sitting around.

Welcome to EvoM

It's stock. Even if you mod it and add more HP it's still a good DD. Just faster

there is 100's of guys here that dd their evos with 500-550 whp, there is 1000's that dd their evos with 400-450 whp and 1000000's that dd their evos with 300-400whp. It all comes down to maintnance, take care of the car and it will take care of you. The best bang for the buck when it cames to making power.

I daily drive my 530 whp evo. And I have no issues. You will have issues if you constantly beat on your car on a daily basis just like on any other car. If you cant really afford to replace a broken motor and drivetrain components, do not beat on it daily.

They both come with the same interior if I'm not mistaking. I found both comfortable. Handling I found the EVO better. Also better looking.
