Who has removed their hood vent?
is that why people buy lighter race wheels with high a$$ offsets, or change their front/ rear bumpers for the JDM pieces? people do things for looks at the expense of performance and vice versa... i guess we all DO have a little rice in us... no one should leave their car 100% stock when buying a car like ours, even if its something as simple as that high performance +1000hp 100% functional R&D tested rally car/ something that any superhero would leave on hood vent... just sayin.

Had mine off for 18 months now. No problems.
Water goes through that vent.. engine gets soaked when it rains regardless...

I used to have my hood vent out but I got tired of water sitting on the exhaust manifold and dripping into the 02 housing which then sat in my exhaust and gummed up my rear 02 sensor. Not to mention the car would run like butt after a rain storm until all the water was cleared out. Other than that. I had no negative effects =P
I'm sure Mitsubishi engineers designed this to help with cooling.....if you're more worried about performance than looks then keep it on, otherwise remove it so your car will look even "cooler"
