motor
My guess is its rod knock. Especially if it wont hold idle or drive reliably. I wouldn't go out beating on it too much, especially if it is rod knock. If that rod lets lose and vents your block then you are out a core charge on the motor and boring it out is no longer an option.
Pull the head off and take a look. At least get a borescope and look in the cylinder. I have one and am from Pittsburgh if you are interested and need a hand. Which shop did you get the tune from? What dyno was it reading 600 on? PM me if you don't want to post it up here...

Does it sound anything like this? https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ell-noise.html
If so, that is rod knock.

another question is should i just get that ac out of there? because everytime i turned it on when i was out the car shut off lol so i dont know if that was because my problem now or the car cant have it ? i liked it during summer i know it is stupid but it was nice
Jason is a good guy, and knows the motors in these cars. What did he say?
The thing that worries me most is the fact that it increased with revs, but in some parts it sounded like the really loud tapping was intermittent. Best case is that you could have a problem with one of your lifters. Worst case is that it is rod knock and you have destroyed at least the bearings in the motor. Can you tell if the sound is coming up from the valve cover area of the car, or can it be heard more towards the bottom of the shortblock. If it is more towards the top then it is most likely a lifter and it can be dealt with easily. If it is coming from the bottom then it is rod knock and you are in for a serious overhaul/rebuild.
My guess is it is a lifter problem. That tick was pretty pronounced towards the valve cover from what I heard in the video.
To answer your PM, I live in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. If you want to meet up and talk I am down, but I work during the weekdays from 7-4. As for the air conditioning, that can all be corrected in the tune provided there aren't serious mechanical faults with the pulley or condenser itself. He just has to adjust your idle rpm with AC on portion of the ROM and you should be fine. Another thing, if you are running on E-85 and you are having starting issues like that, then you should just have to up the IPW adder tables in the ROM to have it fire up on the first time. That can be adjusted on the tune as well.

yea he is a good guy really cool for sure just buried in work right now. and one of the guys i work withthe one in the pic. actually is really good with motors says he really strongly feels it is in the head because it sounds like definatly towards the top end and not near bottom so i might be leaning towards lifters too what do i do to fix this buy new ones better? and he also said the tapping is what really tells him it is not rods because it is not knocking. the car is on a 93 tune for now because i ran out of injector and need to buy bigger ones before moving over to e85 should make a lot more power also. i also think the ac was just not tuned in with my tune maybe turn rpm up more but for now just message me your number so i can ask a couple questions because i want to make sure to finish this project off this time with eveything it needs and fix it.
Pulling the motor tomorrow night to open it up and check the inside out. I showed the video to a couple people and they said might be a rod so which way should I go with build this block or spend money on bushcur motor? I keep thinking bout building this block ? Opinions
