motor

I am so confused guys and don't know if this is the right place to post this but I need help big time. I just bought a 05 Mr and it had a lot of mods done to it and the guy said he just didn't have enough to finish it I kinda had a feeling he was a lying a** but I brought it home did the rest of the work and had it tuned pulled 600 on a mustang and was out having fun and something in the bottom ennd shot sounds like a rod but I have no clue what motor is in this car and what work is done to it I have figured out that the head has been worked and a way to make sure the head is still the one the place worked but I need to know what motor is in it and what to buy for the bottom end to hold up under power so I can get my new car out.. whatever people need to help me let me know

Yank that biotch out already! More than likely it's a smoked piston, your ring or rings are shot. Cylinder walls will need a resurface, a .20 over will take care of that... I have some
Parts that may be of use. Hit me up if your interested.

Do a compression check, you'll get most of your needed answers without turning more than ten bolts. That or a fiber optic cylinder snake, to see the busted rings first hand!.....

Definitely should of been more specific I was at work and i can def. Put pics and vids if needed and I haven't asked the Guy I bought it off of because he won't answer of course hah but the top end was built by jam I think the receipts say and then I remember the Guy telling me it was a slow boy motor but who knows if he was being honest. I know its something in the bottom end because as soon as i get rolling it sounds like something is knocking up down real fast. And for the mods it has a Garrett gt35 Turbo upgraded 5 speed tranny 1000 CC injectors which i need to sell and by bigger one tial everything else basically so from here on ill just be taking advice for the best way to go for the power and ill get pics up as soon as i can feel free to ask questions ill answer.. it def. Has alot of very good parts just needs a little mor to be finished

try to get an audio/video clip of the knocking/ticking ur getting. I hope not, but it could be rod knock, or as simple as an exhaust leak which could sound like rod knock (i just had this recently)
one way to find out whats in there, is to drop of the oil pan and see what type of rods are used.

Edit: chaneg the oil and see if the oil is clean or contaminated with small copper particles. make sure the oil pan u drain the oil into is clean if u do so.

I def know I have a problem within the motor because it wont even stay started at idle basically taking a video wont work cause I have a twin disk so your gonna here exhaust or chatter I think its going to be rods and bearings. I guess I am going to take it out open it up but basically I just want to put the right internals in when i do it so I can have fun with it again but will def get pics up and maybe a video of something
