New Evo 9 owner........in Canada!

Well, after a lot of time and work searching, I finally managed to track down a nice Evo 9.

I've been wanting one of these since 2006 when I picked up my 06' Lancer Sportback Ralliart (which sadly now needs a new home), but the Evo IX's have never been sold in Canada, nor were they admissible for import. Well, Canada changed the import laws a while back, and I was finally able to get a sweet Evo.

2006 Evo IX SE
14,000miles
All stock except for a Prosport boost gauge, and a Compustar Alarm.

Sweet!

The car is silly fun to drive. I loved the ride of my Sportback Ralliart, but this is sooooo much nicer.

Anyway, this thread would be worthless without pics, so onto the goods.

Good to see someone FINALLY bought that car.....given it's condition, i'm suprised it managed to sit all summer long there.

Hopefully they let you get it for less than $30K? Beautiful car by the way....

You'll eventually get used to the stares driving it too (rare car up here)....

Yuppers!

That was really the appeal of this one in particular. There seem to be so few of these gems in low mileage like-new condition.

I'm certainly happy.

Thanks, I'm quiet enamored with it.

I've only had a few people "recognize" it so far. It's funny, there are so few Evo's up here, that everyone just glances and assumes you put a body kit on a stock lancer. LOL......that's part of the fun too, though.

I meant to add - don't forget to pick up your rally armour mud flaps for the winter driving (if you're using the EVO up here during our winters)...they saved alot of road rash on my WW EVO VIII...

See you on the roads!

Most of the logos on the back are gone now. The "Special Edition" sticker was the ugliest thing ever, and the dealer that imported the car slapped their logo on it as well.

Second day I had the car, I pulled off both. I'm thinking now I'll pull off the "Lancer" and "Evolution" badges too, and put back on the Mitsubishi Diamond on the back that was missing when I picked up the car.

Ya, I was thinking about mudflaps since the car will definitely see year round driving (no garage queen for me).

I haven't really looked into them, though.......any thoughts on where to get them? Did Mitsubishi offer a factory set?
