I want an evo

Okay as of right now I have about 14k cash. I am looking for evo but not really interested in 03 or 04s.

I know for an 05 or 06 I need about 16-25+. The max I will probably spend would be about 17k. I can get 17k by February of next year.

My question is can I find a decent evo with no problems and with low mileage for that price? Or any website I look up? I will not buy from dealers....

No one will be able to answer your question here or anywhere. EvoM doesn't have knowledge and control over every Evo that is being sold. Is it possible? Absolutely. Good deals come up all the time. As far as websites, check the classifieds here, autotrader, carmax, craigslist, ebay..

Why not 03 or 04? 05 is the same thing. Only 06 is different.

the 05 can have the option of SSL(sunroof, subwoofer, leather) which i find really nice and its pretty ballin. Im sure you can find what you want for 17k, just gotta wait for the right deal. For 17k, it would probably be stock which in my eyes would be better that way you can do everything yourself and know what is done.

Depends on what you consider low miles. Also, I think you have to be patient - I spent close to a year looking for mine and finally found one about 5 months ago. I found an 06 with the mods for a little more than what you are looking to spend and have really been happy with it.

Try to go with an 06, becareful of scams on the Internet. If it's way under Kelley blue book and has a clean title with no salvage title then it's usually a scam

I would start looking now. It's gonna be hard to find a low mileage 06 in good condition that hasn't been driven hard. Make sure you have it checkout out thoroughly before committing to any purchase too.

where in Cali are you?? it really depends on your area as well.

i have a 04 with SSL, 31k miles. babied. i would let it go for 28k. everything goes. all stock parts are in boxes with dates when the other items were installed.

tuned by WORKS.
all parts installed by me, meticulously.

Exactly...

Don't rule out a potentially great car just because of the mileage.

if low miles to you means 35-45k your outta luck. for 17grand you`ll probably find one with 80,000miles and more

this is true, im a banker and i see these things happen all the time.NEVER send money by western union for a car, and if they wont give you a phone number to actually TALK to them, its a scam. if they say the deal is being done through ebay (but it was listed on craiglist) and they will pay for shipping. its a scam.

on another note, i found my 03 with 40k miles for 12,900. just get an 03-04 unless your gonna go all out and get an 06

If your patient with your search I think this is a realistic target. I ended up buying a X but looked at many 8/9's and there are plenty in that range out there.
