id definitely wait.. unless you can talk them down to about 13 it isnt worth it.. unless you really like it but.. if i were paying for it id want to get something as cheap as possible, even if it meant waiting a bit

Since i am in love with it i am going to lowball 10-11 and try to get it for 13. I think 13 is still good considering they have eaten the import costs.

edit: After my mechanic friend checks it out of course.

I have 128k on mine right now, and it runs better than the day it was new. Great cars if taken care of properly!

How are high mile evos for reliability? because if it blows up and needs a huge amount of money to fix it i wont be able to drive it for awhile. If it does blow i have a backup vehicle but it would still suck to be paying off my evo and not driving it.
Given your financial position, don't buy the car. You really can't afford something going wrong, and that's not where you want to be with a high-mileage high-performance automobile.

depends on how those miles were used... a buddy of mine bought his 1st evo used w/ 100k miles on it. We immediately put a turbo upgrade on C16 racegas and he's been running low 11s @ 128mph since, lol. Beating the crap out of it... still holding up strong. Its a gamble tho!

I would say buy a Civic, These cars suck with high mileage

But seriously, you have to consider basic maint. costs. tires, brakes, clutch, timing belt, waterpump, etc. and that's if nothing breaks before that.

Also the MOD bug is Killer....

OP the price is too high. I paid for my 2005 Evo 8 SSL package clean inside and out, with 117k on the dash 12,5k and I consider myself over paying.

Everyone that is mentioning their previous deals in the US have to realize that 6-7k has to be added in order to compare with Canadian prices... I mean I also got a good deal, 17k for 05 gsr with 26k miles but that would make my same car $23000-24000.
To the OP, if u can get this car for about $3k less, and it's mechanically sound, go for it. In any case, GOOD luck in ur purchase/search...
