So after eatting out. I get in my car and try to start it. But all it does is crank over. almost like there is no spark help me

 

had a similar situation happen to me... Its either fuel, spark, or battery. For me it was a dead coil pack and one of the relay wires in the fuel pump.

I would start w/ checking the coil packs and wires. GL

edit: did you try jumping it?

I didnt check any of the those. I had to get it towed and out of the parking lot. manager was getting angry with the flatbed in his resturant

 

don't remember what fuse it is but its in the dash fuse box. controls injectors. check that.

 

Well at least you remembered to get it towed on a flat bed!! Hate to see you have worse problems from not doing that. A couple members recently had that happen.

 

how did you fix that? dealer or yourself?

 

Be sure to check all of the fuses. I ground out a fan wire on my car on the start line at an auto-x once. Turned out it had blown the ecm fuse and that was the reason the car stalled and wouldn't restart. Have you changed anything (stereo, guages, anything electrical) on your car recently?

 

well if "all it does is crank over" i would take a wild guess and say the battery is doing its job!

Edit...but i would start with checking for spark and fuel first..

Generally the only times it wont start if it will crank continually is if it has low amps. You could check that with your multi meter as well while you're under the hood checking the fuses. Start with the simple stuff and work to the more complex. Hopefully it will be something small and you can get it running today.

 

Fuel pump went out!! getting a new one and hopfully have it running tuesday then on to the next project.
