(General) Why are Evo's worth less than STI's ? I know this has been an ongoing debate for ages. But I would like to know what the Evo Community has to say about this. (Try not to be biased)
Evo is worth more than an STI in my area.. a lot more ppl have STI's. i see a lot less Evo's in Miami.. and plus i just went to KBB and my car is worth more than an STI with the same milage. I would think the more ppl that have the car the lower the value.. thats my opinion

Most people that get an STi or Evo don't keep it stock. Evo's have tranny issues and STi's have pretty bad pistons/rods, thus to get anywhere near 400whp, they need forged internals; which is quite the other way around for Evo's....

I just went on KBB.com and checked for each of these cars 2006 with 60,000 miles, private party value:
Evo IX - $19,585
Evo IX MR - $21,060
WRX STI - $19,570
So it looks like in my area Evo are worth slightly more

I mean sure, if its well kept and not beaten to death everyday its going to last longer but its not a secret to anyone that Evo's are known to have drivetrain problems.
The transfer case's notorious problem of having the death whine, the ACD pump failures, the tranny's dying relatively fast.

Death Wine, tranny's dying fast. How about 7k rpm clutch dumps, bad drivers, and improper drivetrain fluids and maintenance.
People are so quick to blame the car. My god
