Question Cold start problem w/ Buschur mini battery?

so i have a mini buschur battery and today my car didnt start.
i jumped the car and ran fine so alternator is good.
i turned the car off after driving for a while and it did not start again.

all connections are good. however, i did notice the positive terminal (terminal bar that goes into the battery itself) is loose. as in it spins around a little bit.
is this battery broken

or do mini batteries have problem starting up in the cold?\

any comments/ suggestions would be appreciated
thaank you

I'd go somewhere like Autozone and have them test it for free, it could just be dead. I know the Cold will kill a weak battery every time. How long have you had battery? Also try tightening the connections.

The battery posts have an allen bolt that runs down through the center, tighten that bolt, that would be a great start. The battery can't charge properly if the posts are tight.

Make sure u start the car everyday as well, especially in the cold
I think owners that have the mini batterys whose cars arent daily driven have more probs than those of us that drive them daily

Every winter I have a problem with my mini battery, so what I did was break out the battery tender just to keep the battery fully charged all the time if I plan to park the car a few days at a time.

So for now, as things have progressed, I have decided to run a Sears Die Hard platinum battery for the winter months then switch back to the mini battery for the warmer, summer months...

i already have the mini battery bracket for Odyssey battery so i do want to get another mini probably Deka as an replacement instead of running it in the trunk...
but if the battery lasts throughout the cold weather (southern PA) then i guess i can go ahead and get another battery.
