ok ok. your talking long term. nice.

well i also relocated the battery to the trunk. i didnt spend a fortune doin it either. i just had to get it done that night since i installed my UICP. i went to Pep Boys and spent $10 on a battery case (yes i know its a POS but i needed something immediately) and went to an electronics store and bought an amp kit for $40. installed in less than an hour.

its not track legal due to the plastic battery case and no kill switch on the bumper, but if you car looks stock then they wont pop the hood or the trunk. or maybe its just my luck

The only thing you need to buy and spend the most money on is the positive cable. Get yourself a 1 gauge cable from Summit Racing. I spent 80 on a 13 foot cable from Summit. I started at the battery terminal in the engine and ran it all the way to the trunk from the drivers side. It was just long enough. Then I put the battery in a plastic battery box from an Auto parts store. The box was a little bigger than the battery.

I suggest getting a 14 foot 1 gauge cable. Then buy a 2 gauge from Kragens to be the ground. Let me know if you want pics of my setup.

If I hook up the battery tender to the mini battery while its in the car do I have to disconnect the ground wire to the battery?
