IX bov is nice , but I noticed that it tends not to hold boost that well @ 24psi. Boost just tapers dramatically, until I got the Forge RS bov.

i loved my stocker, but it started leaking with old age. it had 170,000 miles on it, and didn't seem to be holding like it should so I replaced it with the new synapse DV. love that thing so far.

How does the new Synapse DV hold compared to the IX stocker when it was functioning normally?

can't tell you because it was a gradual decline, and i'm not sure how long it's been leaking. i just recently got the car tuned and upped the boost. to be honest, there may have not been anything wrong with the stocker. i just suspected that it was leaking and changed it. the drivablity is about the same. it definitely holds though.

i'd say if you're not turning the boost up very high, the stock IX is the best. the stock IX is good till 30lbs in most cases, so it's plenty for most people.
