Thumbs up New member to Evolutionm!

Whats up guys just wanted to introduce my self. I currently own a Evo 9, i have not modded it much until now when i can cough up the big bucks! Just thinking of doing full head work and ignore the bottom end. My goal is to reach the 450hp. Other then that i am probably aiming at an AMS intercooler, probably run my own intercooler piping, and mock up my own intake plenum. For forced induction i heavily want the new Borg warner EFR turbo charger sitting on the Treadstone DIY 4G63 manifold.

Any thoughts?

Yea i want to find someone who is certified with hydrogen welding, Get nice clean welds with a couple of watts The reason i choose to go with a tubular manifold is throttle responds and avoid boost creep. Plus that Manifold set up would look freaking wicked in the engine bay. Also the EFR turbo has a Gamma Ti rear wheel other then the inconel, which has less then half the inertia, that is going to spool wicked fast.

Regarding a custom tubular exhaust manifold, there seems to be a lot of good ones out there, but they ARE expensive. Unless you do the fab and welding yourself, it might be less expensive to buy one off the shelf. Another option is the less expensive Buschur ported OEM manifold. It doesn't have the bling of a tubular unit, but it should be fine for the power you are after.

Good to know, i will do more research. The thing is i found several "log style" manifolds for sale, and they seem to be around the price of these DIY kits. With putting some effort of my time i can have an inexpensive tubular manifold for $300 as this kit i mention is valued. For example Mazworx has a DIY kit but you'll have to spend alot more time building that manifold then this pre-casted stainless kit.
