Are Megan Racing headers really that bad?

Well the title says it all. I have read/heard almost all negative remarks about Megan Racing headers and very rarely have i seen anyone pleased with them. Basically I am asking if they are worth getting since they are cheaper or should i just hold out for some more quality ones.

I was rocking one for aalmost 2 years straight and honestly it was fine No cracks or anything. Yeah its not the nicest manifold but for the price I think its worth it. For keeping a stock 8 turbo its a decent upgrade. But if u upgrade to a red or bbk I would rather stick with a well known solid manifold to be on the safe side

Just get a ported stock manifold or spend the money for a nice tubular manifold.

Get a ported stock manifold for about the same price.

This. You are better off getting the stocker ported and coated. Those are the two best options, if you are saving get the stock worked on, if not get a nice tubular manifold. Shearer, Full-Race, etc...

Same answer. They aren't worth it, you would be better off getting your stock one ported and coated. A step up from that is a nice flowing SS O2 or even a dump if thats your preference...

I think by o2 pipe he meant the o2 housing so in that sense you just contradicted yourself

I'd say stay away from the manifold but on the other hand their o2 housing is a nice piece.

Trying not to curse myself....ive had both on mine for about 3 yrs and no probs at all...still stock turbo and the turbo spools very quick with the mods i have (pretty much no lag). but you pay for what you get in alot of sense i figure ive gotten lucky.

it seems like this same topic is popping up almost everyday.
same here ive had mine for almost 3 years and no problems. i feel like i def gained power from their o2 and the manifold, if not def quicker spool.

only reason im gettin rid of mine is to put the stocker back on, im not even porting it. i dont see it worth it for the money they want. and i did the o2 eliminator from MAP, that i feel is worth every penny!
