I just bought a car with monster sports exhaust on. I love the sound but I'm afraid its gonna pull too much attention to the cops. I do plan on replacing to another quieter exhaust in the future, but not now since the budget is tight.
Im planning to get a silencer for it for now and was wondering what wize silencer I should get for this.
the tip size is 4.5 so I would guess that the silencer needs to be a bit smaller than the tip but I can't really find anything like that online.
Is there any website or vendors that sell a silencer for this tip size?
Or would local muffler shops be able to custom make it?
Any help is appreciated!!

 

i dont know the answer to your question but if your exhaust is too loud then you should run a high flow cat and add resonators to your exhaust. putting a silencer in is basically like running the stock exhaust, which may be a better solution

Yea, I actually decided to get a hfc..
what does it take to add a resonator to my exhaust? does it require cutting and welding?
Also, will it have some performance loss?
