Ok post up something please. They are both the same part numbers and I see no other option for an "Evo version". Get real if you think it's different. Maybe all lancers should get the Evo windshield Mod!

All should have a 3rd visor (black dots at the top) with a mirror clip.

Here search helps too....

Above is for the 8/9, not sure about the X.

If it's "thinner" it's not DOT approved period. I'll put ths to rest in a few months after I weigh my OEM IX shield versus my OEM 02 RA shield.

Look at your shield. It will have a DOT number as well as an AS #.

AS1 , AS2 , or AS3. Those are the only three styles of "thickness" a glass can be.

For instance my Dodge Dakota is an DOT-22 AS1. But I guess you are right you know.

KevinD weighed both and was only about 1 lb lighter. Im not saying it is or isnt, just saying what he found since he seems to be the only person so far to actually weigh both.

One way I know for a fact they are different is the mount for the rear view between the lancer and the EVO. So you'll have to swap what the factory calls the button over or your rear view will not fit.

Second is where the rear view actually sits on the windshield it is higher up on the EVO than the Lancer IIRC.

As for thickness and weight I have no clue. I think I'm on like windshield # 4 and every time they have to transfer the mount over.

CONFIRMED -> Evo windshield is 3 lbs lighter than Lancer

Just had my windshield replaced today and got the Lancer windshield. the new Lancer windshield thickness is 4.85mm and the Evo windshield thickness is 4.15mm. so the Lancer windshield is .7mm thicker.
