Whats up EvoM? My names Corey and I drive a '97 Eclipse GS-T that I bought February 2006. I've had an account on SoCalEvo for awhile now but only use it to shop for used Evo parts that I can use on my DSM. Thats basically what I'm doing on EvoM too, just increasing the odds of finding parts I might need.
Moving onto the car, I got it completely stock with 71,000 miles on it as an automatic GS-T and I knew nothing about a turbo vehicle. Now 5 years later its been converted to a 5-speed AWD (GSX) and also runs on E85. I ran my fastest 1/4 mile time this last December when I broke into the 11's. I clicked over an 11.6 @ 121mph on the stock bottom end, stock drivetrain, and a 16g frame turbo on E85 and street tires. I'm looking forward to getting a set of Hoosier DR's and a built transmission and see how deep into the 11's the car can get.

nice car. i miss my 97 gsx. it had a built 6 bolt and super 20g turbo. i wouldn't have sold it but at the time my children still needed car seats and car seats in an eclipse suck. one day i will have another one.

 

Thanks for the replys. I wish there were "seasons" out here in SoCal, it might give me more time to save for parts but it seems like I'm at the track year round trying to break my car.

I'm currently working on a '98 7-bolt 2.3l build and hopefully its done and ready to drop in the car once the stock motor doesn't like the 30psi it see's at the track. Its always something I guess... and I agree if you want to put anything in the backseats its a pain in the ***, good thing I don't have kids or a family. *cross-fingers*
