DormantBeast,

I find the path your taking slightly backwards. Take the easier route go SD first if your set on getting a VTA BOV and simply vent the stock one to atmosphere with a piece of hose until you can afford/need to upgrade it to something better.

You'll save time/money and headache this way

Parts to go SD is extremely cheap.

PM replied. I'll try to remember to take a pic of it for you tomorrow and put it up on here.

Roadspike, I told him in PM that if he wanted to use a VTA bov he SHOULD be using speed density. I would feel bad if I told someone how to set it up and their car run like crap because they are on the MAF.

Maybe some people just need to learn the hard way with stalling and poor economy hehe

I don't mind to each their own. I do have to say when i first had my tial i was genuinely shocked at how loud it was. Nothing compared to the insane noise it tends to make.

can u pm me too for the adapter incase i decide to get a Tial QR. I mount mine on the Intake (ETS setup).

Question 4 u guys, did u have to do alot of tweaking for the Tial? Also do you guys get partial throttle surging or bucking?

The stock frame mitsu turbo has a surging problem. The stock DV leaks at low throttle inputs and pressures removing the issue but for a true closed valve the stock turbo cover surges really badly at certain boost levels.

When i had my red it surged with the stock cover so i ordered a ported cover and it disappeared. Just be sure to order a tial with the right spring pressure in it and you should never have to mess with it.

Get the ETS IC pipe flange for tial bov

Then Get a Tial QR + the ets recirc pipe and you are good to go

Is best to avoid VTA Bov until you get a programmable computer like the aem series

There are many choices you can go with honestly but iam giving you the one iam running with and no problem if i had another choice i would have go with one of those dual vent bov as i don't plan on getting a programmable computer soon

I Have the ETS short route UICP flange to a tial qr and i relocated the battery to the trunk

I didn't use an adapter. I cut the stock flange off and welded a plate over it. I bought an aluminum TiAL flange and welded it on the stock uicp in a different location and cut a hole for it.

You don't need a standalone ecu to have speed density my friend. The stock ecu is pretty schweet.
