these threads bashing the 6 speed are annoying. the 6 speed is the standard and ONLY transmission option in a lot of other countries, and all of the FQ EVO's come with the 6 speed. Also, I drove and beat on a 6 speed for 176,000 miles with zero issues. the new owner is loving the car and has also had no issues. the car is pushing a safe and reliable 360whp at that. 90% of the people talking bad about the 6 speed have ZERO experience with it.
get the IX MR. screw the SE.

how hard did you really push your transmission? any transmission that gets babied is going to work fine and shouldn't have any problems, so it really depends on the use. i'm assuming since your stock clutch lasted 70k miles the car didn't really see a lot of trackdays. push the mr on a road course long enough and the trans will let go, it's weaker simple as that.
that being said, most of these guys who aren't pushing their cars and saying ix mr sucks probably just have 6 speed envy. if you don't track your car regularly there's no need to worry about the ix's 6 speed. no reason to fear anything going wrong with the trans if you just daily drive and maybe autocross or track once a year..
for competitive cars/drivers, the 5 speed will be better, period. either way the trans will eventually need to get built anyway though lol
to actually be ON TOPIC - 9 is newer, what's there to think about? Also, since you're looking at WW cars - the white on the 9 is different, i believe.. more whitey white i like it better

that seems like a good deal with that miles...make an offer and possibly get a REALLY good deal. Makes me wanna sell my evo8 I just bought and buy that! SHIAT! Haha. I test drove the IX and loved it, like the looks better too. But all I saw I was high miles for too much or out of my price range..If I had another 4-5g cash, I would have bought an IX for sure. Buy that IX!
