I feel dumb and like I have never owned a turbo car before lol. But anyway, my car has been sitting for 3 1/2 months for maintenance and winter reasons and I'm really anxious to hear it run. I ordered a intake pipe and don't have the stock pipe so have to wait for new pipe to come in.

I was wondering if I were to start the car with only the maf connected and no intake pipe. Not to drive, just to hear it run. Never tried it with stock maf car only on my 2g that had a blow thru setup so I'm not sure.

My question is should I expect it to run like crap and pig rich? That's basically a huge boost leak. Would it hurt just to start it?

And especially since it has a 3 1/2 month old gas in it.

but i've started my car before without the maf... just started tho..didn't hit gas or nothing..it just wants to die and throw codes so theres no point... just wait..... you already waited the 3 n half months

 

How'd you know lol . I was gonna earlier before work but know it's gonna run like a pile so I held off. It's a dumb idea since I can't drive it anyway.

I'm so anxious to hear it fire up, I just finished it. Yeah it threw iat and baro codes last night cause the maf wasn't hooked up when I was adjusting the tps.

But I guess I'll wait.
