upgrade EVO intake?

I'm getting the buschur racing turbo back exhaust and I was wondering, do you guys think that I should change my airbox into a open element cone filter? I was thinking RMR or Buschur. I had the RMR cone filter when i was stock but i felt a power loss but i hear that for the intake to work properly, an exhaust is needed? Any thoughts?

gained 9.6 HP on the dyno with RMR cone...but most importantly....keep the cold air duct conected to where you shut the hood on the stock intake, it gives a steady flow of air into the car...

the typhoon is sweet, plus the carbon fiber sets it off.

I wouldnt buy one of those cheap ebay intakes. Get one that is really made for his car. If one of those cheap ones falls off you are goig to cost yourself a lot more than you save. I would compromise a 30k car with a cheap 20 dollar filter. RMR, buschar or aem is the way to go.

AEM and K&N offer nice intakes for the price. Alot of the gains people are seeing though is due to fluctuations in the Maf readings that cause the car to lean out. I know that it really makes the car sound better though ie. intake sucking, and bov whooshing
