Intro: new Mitsu Airtrek owner

Hello all!

Im new to the forum, altough, Ive signed up a while ago, even befor buying my 'new' used ride, just to get to know a bit of the platform..

The car is a 02 Mitsubishi Airtrek

I have yet to get some pics hosted to post them.

Anyway, Im looking to upgrade a bit on power, but am wary of shifting powerband up high, because its an auto....

Will be posting questions along the way, pls bear with me!!!!!!!

Pics to come!

Nice! In the US we call it the Outlander and it looks different. We also don't get the sick turbo version...So does that thing have a detuned 4g63 mated to a 4 speed auto?

Thx for the responses guys!

Its basically a mix n match of EVO parts, drivetrain is EVO 7 GTA with 5 speed auto tranny..

Suspension is around EVO 5 era.

Drives good, the small td04 turbo spools hella early @ 2500 rpm but get out of breath at 5500 rpm............

Im planning to convert the engine to EVO8 specs as I want a bit more go out of it.....

Right now Im having a bit of trouble with the fuel supply....turns out the tanks is rusted to bits and need cleaning before every fill up.

I need a step by step on lowering the tank, but havent searched yet, but pointers are appreciated...

Will post pics shortly

From the dead

Its been a while....

Been driving the car and cleaning tanks rigorously, without any avail.......

I hit a rough patch and sold off most of the performance stuff I had painstakingly gathered for the Trek......

By pure chance I got the opportunity to get a wrecked Outlander for cheap so I bought it to swap the tanks.

See my tank pics above and these:

Project will commence this weekend, pretty stoked!!
Ill log with pics!!

Im very excited to have the car running @ factory specs.........will be upgrading as I go............
