New to Mitsu 2011 evo mr ordered & arrival apr 20-22nd
first order came in. cobb access port. read the instructions and tried to install and got the dredded 1014 error... aparently after a short search cobb doesn't have files for the 2011 yet.. calling them this afternoon. i hope i wont have to wait a year like some of the posts on their website.
the cobb turbo inlet pipe comes in a week or so. and once the taxes are back i'll be looking for turbo back exhaust. still haven't decided on what to get yet. i also am not sure which upper and lower intercooler pipes to get. seems like there's too many avalible.. i'm too used to only having one manufacturer to choose from lol

A little update on the new car.. ive had the car now what... 6 months..
this summer i atteded
-4 road course events @ Stratotech race way
-8 Auto x events with red deer sports car club.
2 Road trips
- 1st road trip to southern alberta fort macloud to an auto x event ( just watched my dad run his car)
- 2nd road trip, out to bc. on this trip i got the best gas mileage 42L of gas i drove 530ish km on a tank. most bc secondairy highway roads are 90km/hr
we drove out to radium then to fairmont then to lussier hot springs in the white swan lake provincial park.. 26km of amazing back country logging roads to play on.

- RFP-1's 18x8
- KW22 with studds for winter
-Rally armour mud flaps
- Thule Rack with wind difuser.
- soon to have Ski box for ski's, luggage, etc extra storage room LOL since there's none in the trunk.
Mods winter/spring
- ams bell mouth down pipe
-ams resonated test pipe.
-ets or ams cat back.. havent decided yet.. will be a single exit though..
-ets 3" intercooler with black ets logo
-cobb 3port turbo valve thingy..
-pro tune @ vex performance
- tranny flush with fresh oil of some sort. if i feel rich maybe the ssp tranny cooler kit with 400 clutches... if i'm feeling uber rich!!!
mods spring/summer 2012
-poly motor mounts
-front and rear sway bars.
- break pads
-new rubber for the stock wheels probbaly all season tires of some sort.
-new rubber for the second set of wheels some sort of track tires R compounds..
mods may change depeding on cash flow and research.
current milage @ 6 months just over 11000km
only issues is sometimes from 1st to second manual s-sport mode a big clunk combind with a dramatic learch of the car. only after initial start up when the car is cold or if it's been in park for a while. .. i try to remember to shift in to second at low rpm off the gas. when first starting out.. seems to be alright so far.. no codes nothing broken
changed the oil 4 times last 2 been using modul stuff, replaced the water wetter with modul rad fluid
been keeping an eye on the trans fluids they're all clean looking and the resevior in the back is full..
also used up the summers their pretty bald .. the winters are on now and ive even done a rotation on them already.. figured every 1000km i'll rotate them.. since i seem to be hard on tires.
not exactly sure what else i should be doing but ive been looking at the maintenance book and nothing major has come up yet.
if there are other things i should keep an eye out for please do let me know!
