Change Intercooler - Works?

Folks, I am really newbie in EVOs.

So, I am sorry about the kind of my quaestions.

If I change only the intercooler, will I gain power?

Which brand is ok? Where to buy?

Thanx.

keep it stock for now. once you start modding check out reviews. The search feature will be your best friend.

The big front mount intercooler honestly is good up to a certain amount of whp. Once you go beyond that amount it will begin to heatsoak. Generally the more hp you make the more the intercooler will need work.

Along with the turbo and with back to back runs you want to make sure you have enough to contend with the heat followed along with how hot it is during the day and night. I say its good up to 320whp after that with 3-4 back to back runs you will have air intake charge heatsoak.

I bought mine right after i got my ETS downpipe/testpipe/catback. Definitely something to look into early on in modding.

I went with the PERRIN stealth front mount. A bit expensive, but on the other hand, GREAT quailty and costumer support.

Check out the thread above. We dyno tested a bunch of products on a bone stock car.

Thanks,

Michael

Thanx all.

I still do not decide.

I am thinking in buy an GREDDY intercooler, but this will be the only upgrade for now.

What do you guys think about it?
