me: what do you mean?
cg: is the MR just as fast as the evo? was wondering because my toyota has 360 horses.
me: theres some sort of miscommunication. the mr is a trim of the Evo. its the six-speed version basically
cg: so its not as fast as the evo then?
me: (frustrated) actually because of the 6th gear it adds about 250 more horses
cg: i thought so

on our way home my girlfriend is talking about what to make for dinner
me: GOD THAT GUY PISSED ME OFF HOW STUPID HE IS!
my gf: you have a problem. now chicken chow mein or steaks?
me: steaks please

I get that alot...

The same day i bought my car i stopped to pump gas, and a guy driving an Altima asks me, "What year is your Honda?" <<<<WTF>>>>

Some guy stopped at shop with a 2g eclipse and says, "Is that an Evo?"
Me: Yeah
2g guy: "I was going to get a 2010, but this one had twin turbo"
Me: Oh kool....?????

Mazda, Nissan, and one guy knew enough to call it an Evo - a Dodge Evo! (said he recognized it from that car show.. Top Gear US, I think)

And I've had several people compliment on my nice Eclipse, lol.

Around here, I'm absolutely amazed when someone actually recognizes it as an Evo, and has actually heard of the car before.

 

What is funny is Paul is a smart dude I give him alot of credit buy the push system turbo setup but what hea fails on is he talks about how bad *** his car is but actually how slow it is. When he use to be on midsm he would talk so much **** and when people found out how slow the car was he got flamed for it big time hahaha.

 

well had a nice one yesterday. I just got to texas took the car off the trailer and started driving around just cruising and out no where had a car comming really fast thinking he was gonna pass. instead he gets right next to me while i was doing 40 honks 3 times and takes off lol. I had a WTF look on my face. I think he was in a 06ish corolla.

 

And right now he's braggin to his friends that he "beat" and Evo

 

Similar thing happened to me but it was a cobra. Everytime I got back up next to him he would take off before I could even drop a gear.

Been called a Subaru, sti, wrx, accord, maxima, and srt4. Why is it that more of the general population knows what a sti/wrx is but have never even heard of an Evo? When personally I think evos are a much better all around car

At my dad's shop we always come across funny things. One time a guy mid 20s came to the shop to ask price for installing a body kit on a newer model camaro. It was like a 06 model i think...well anyways my pops didn't know how to quote him because we've never been asked how much to install body kits mainly because we just do general mechanic work. So the guy says its not to hard to install, and says its pretty simple. My dad then asks him to bring the car with the kit so he can see how much work needs to be done. The guy then says, (thinking my dad doesn't know what a body kit is), "Its just like that mitsubishi." While pointing at my evo... In my head i was like, "I didn't know my car comes with a body kit"lol That's the beauty of a stock body evo
