Okay, as of last night, I thought this would be a great thread for people to post up amusing stories on. Would love to hear some of the stuff people hear on a daily basis.

My fav being the no replacment for displacement at the drag races guy. One trip down the strip, guy comes back. "Is that thing super charged?" ME:

 

Is it fast? LOL no it just runs 11s on pump gas

I was leaving class yesterday someone saw my IX, and said, "Thats a nice STI''

sad thing is I still have the evolution badge on it lol

 

A lot of time at Autocross when they announce my car they say " and here is ******** with a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution..." and I have a 05 Ralliart...

 

I was outside washing my Evo when some door to door sales ppl came by. She said "Nice lancer! I see you got some nice wheels on there (stock). Are those 20s?!" >_>

 

One time this girl asks me "You have a nice car what's the name brand?" I'm like its a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. She was like wow nice I have a Mitsubishi refrigerator at home. I felt like face palming myself.

This one other time while I was warming up my car, I see this little boy walking with his mother and as they walk by my car, he tells his mother "Mom look this car looks like a toy."

 

I had some guy in a lancer stop when I was filling my car up and say " hey man that's a really nice lancer. What wheels are those?(stock) Is it turbocharged?" For owning a lancer I would've expected him atleast know what an evo was.

I was asked by a "car guy" if i turbo'd my evo yet.

 

A guy I work with asks me if it's turbo so I tell him it is. Then he asks if it's twin turbo so I tell him no it's single turbo. So he says "single turbo is alright, your EVO will be almost as quick as my twin turbo galant I had. Which was a 1996 2.5l v6 tt. I didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
