The evo mindset
The evo mindset
Within 4 months of having an evo i had my first major issue. Ive enjoyed having the evo everytime up untill then. You must think that when buying a modded car people are more prone to get on it and beat on it. I sure did. Unfortunatly i came to realize that im going to have to sell the car for the time being till i get a better job and than im plannin on coming back to the evo community to build and all out time attack car one day.
I know that mindset, just bought an 03 with high miles, and a good bit of work to be done. But, I don't think selling my car would ever be an option, even with the work I need to do, Its my life now. I love this car And I've always wanted an EVO, just finally got to the point in my life where I could barely afford one, and now its sitting in the parking lot
there's always a way

there's always a waythats true man...sometimes the problem ends up being really stupid too!!! And sometimes it ends up eating away 6 months and $5000 but thats the risk you take when buying a performance bred car! I dont have an evo yet but I will have one within the next month or so and I think im going to keep it fairly stock for the warranty period so I dont have to worry about anything.
I feel ur pain though man!!! I have been into sport bikes for a long time and its the same thing...When buying used you never know if the person took care of it!!!!! I have friends that redline their bikes while standing still at a stop light and then argue with me and clain that they are "MADE TO DO THAT"......UMM NO THEIR NOT!!! lol....Many dont really understand the physics at work within an engine and they end up messing everything up...Mitsubishi made the EVO a pretty fast car to begin with but when you start adding power you add wear and decreased life expectancy! I hope it all works out for you!
Yeah, honestly I would do everything in my power to make sure the car stayed, but I can kind of understand the whole money situation and not being able to afford payments or something. I would just live in the car and eat ramen
