So what exactly does the ECU flash do, and what is done to the ECU to make my car put out more WHP? And is it safe for the car? I dont wanna have electrical problems a few months down the road, or have a bunch of service lights turn on. Remember, we have EVO's, something most people wont have and cant get, so consider us lucky to have one. Lets not screw them up.

i believe its very safe i had it done over 3000 miles ago and zero problems. basically the evo is running very rich from the factory and this leans it out (keeping it very safe, engine wise), thats a broad look at it someone elso with more experience can fill in the blanks.

go to dynoflash.com and you will get most of you questions ans.

best investment ever my oppinion

If on a tight budget, Try this:

1) Dynoflash $225
2) Buschur Muffler Delete Pipe $160
3) Buschur 2.5"DP $225
4) MBC $75
5) Boost Gauge $65

If you turn the boost up 20-21psi you should be grasping at 300awhp. This is akin to Buschur's Econo Stage save the Dynoflash (where they still use the SAFC2)...

I've got an ash tray boost gauge panel if you're interested

Also, some of you think that the TT is a waste, well i think its a good idea to see solid numbers of your car at a safe point to turn off. Also, i hear BOV's are a way of keeping your Turbo safer and longer lasting.

Doesn't an ECU reflash also take care of the boost taper problem? Do you also need to add the MBC? I thought the ECU controlled boost as well, so a reflash should do the trick, right?

You can search for more discussions involving both TT and BOV. TT isn't necessary unless you plan on driving over 3K often and don't want to wait to cool things down. The EVO already has a BOV. It's recirculated. Someone mentioned earlier, some have had problems with aftermarket BOV's with vent to air. If you just want the sound, then you could just get an open element air filter. Make sure you tune (SAFC, Xede, ECU flash) for air element b/c they may hinder performance on an otherwise stock EVO.

A TT is for those juveniles who don't have enough self control to drive the last two or three miles of their trip moderately. There's no need or reason to spend a couple hundred dollars for a device that does the exact same thing as driving moderately and sanely the last 2-3 miles. All it takes is a modicum of maturity and self control.

If you are too lacking in maturity and self control to be your own no extra cost TT then blow your money.
