there are a bunch of us from Cowtown. Ps there is a rally out past cochrane this weekend sunday from about 9am to 3pm. should be a few of us going to spectate.
also if your buying.. buy ameriacan and bring it up to canada.. you'll save a crap load of money.. my evo x mr ran me like 60k lol dont buy from a canadian dealer. especialy if your financing. May as well un do the belt and bend over, then take it like a man..
Now if your paying Cash.. try to wheel and deal . also if you buy New dont buy one with more than 70km on it. mine new had 4km and after i test drove it (after buying) it had 20km. Also...
make sure you get an alighment before it leaves the lot. they often come with a messed up alighment from factory/shipping etc
hmmm what else... don't go to the dealer for any work! besides warranty.. lol for cereal.. 250 for an oil change? not even my volvo cost me that much. oil/ filter and time = no more than 95 bucks.. and you can go to vex performance for about that price. you buy motul oil from them. they do the oil change for 15 bucks. total is like 90 some odd. take the car home. and rotate your tires inspect your breaks, boots etc etc takes you no more than 45 minutes with a beer in your hand.
Hmm what else... the MR is sweet.. lol had the mother inlaw in the car with her friend.. her friend pipes up and asked me which model of bmw was it.. LOL i said ummm.. it's a mitsubishi.
it's still kinda cheap inside but seems to get good coments when people ride in the car.
Ride quality is typical of any bmw, volvo , audi that ive ever driven. in stock form.. the car is kinda slow.. fairly quick ish for a turbo 2L ... 14.2 seconds in the quarter mile.. at race city.. with a cobb acess port and k&N air filter + stage 1 tune.. its 13.3 i hope with stage 2 tbe + sf and cobb protune it'll be in the 12's
Road course stuff is also good. i had 0 complaints breaks are amazing sst trans will over heat... grip is good. corners = a big grin! ps closest track is stratotech in fortsask up by edmonton.

Hey bowrepublic,
What are you thoughts on the whole dealership advising to do these Evo 1, 2, 3, services? Seem to be quite pricey to me if I dont say so myself. What is your opinion on the necessary servicing? Oh btw I have a 2010 Evo X GSR...thanks dude - also from Calgary, AB
