Looks good, man!

If you run into any issues with the swap I know that JNZ Tuning down by me does nearly all the local Galant builds. They'd probably be a great source of information.

What length rods do you have?

H or I beam?

Should be a fun car.

Thanks everyone....

They're eagle H-beam crs5900mb3d rods. its a standard evo rod.

once i pick up the trans ill run a blockoff plate to run fwd for the summer, then ill swap he awd in over next winter. and then ill upgrade to a pte 6262r t3 turbo around then too with a custom manifold and tial wategate. it was already fun before boost but after i am gonna have a blasttt. i cant wait!

it has been a while since ive updated this. pretty much changed the plans on this build. ive been staring at this car for far too long and i just wanna drive her. unfortunately i dont wanna deal with the stress and aggravation of building a brand new engine and only running fwd. so instead of building a 4g64/63t ive decided to buy a 4g63 jdm engine.

bought the engine off of ebay from an importer in Quebec, its an evo 6 engine, transmission and transfer case. luckily, i ran the numbers on the turbo and it turns out to be a TME GSR turbo. its the TD05HRA-15GK2-10.5T with the titanium compressor wheel. in order to run fwd with the evo transmission i had to run a welded diff tube to the differential (which i have) but i also have a bad transmission that needs a rebuild and a tcase with an lsd. turns out the tcase i have does not have lsd so im just gonna run an eclipse tranny and extend the exhaust manifold to clear the starter. as i split the trans from the engine i found an exedy cluch with a lightweight flywheel, booyah haha. anyway, ill try and keep this thread updated along with my thread on thegalantcenter.

just a few pictures because everybody likes pictures haha.

the day i unwrapped it

the tcase. and no, its no upside down. thats just how the evo 6 tcase is.

all stripped, almost ready to be swung into the car.

TME turbo

just a bunch of parts waiting for the swing.

a nice little surprise when i split the tranny

notched subframe to run the evo trans, too bad im not running it haha

bought me a little toy to get me through this project

just a little side project im working on, im the junior crew chief on a nascar whelan tour modified. been spending a lot of time trrying to get her ready for the season.
