Hey everyone, purchased my 04 EVO VIII last week.
This will my first AWD experience after having 12 years of experience with multiple S2000s. Had an N/A built one, then a Supercharged one, then a Turbo one. Last project was an ITB built S2000. Basically did everything that can be done to it
Always wanted to own an Evo and am so happy with it so far

Current mods:
Evo IX Turbo
3'' Downpipe with Cut out
HKS Manifold
HKS BOV
HKS Filter
HKS Turbo Timer
HKS Hypermax Pro Coilovers
AEM Wideband
Defi Gauges
Exedy Twin Plate Clutch
CF Front Lip
Evo IX Rear Bumper
Nose Chop

Purchased but not installed yet:
GSC S2 Cams
HKS Cam Gears
Forge Wastegate

I'll get Ferrea Dual Springs - Retainers and ARP Headstuds before putting the cams in

Will upload pics as soon as I get a chance

nice s2k's. tell us more about your experience with them. and 21psi on a high compression s2k motor is a lot of boost.

Great experience. I've been in 35R evos and all but the s2000 being a rwd and really small makes a huge difference in the acceleration feeling
an AWD with even higher hp won't be able to match the feeling you get during acceleration
Back in 2006 when I had the turbo s2k, it was so scary that it took me 2 days to hit redline.

I can agree with that...although turbo s2ks don't make tons of tq (correct me if I'm wrong). The f20 is ultra efficient so it holds the tq all the way, making great peak power, but the peak tq is usually around mid 300s from what I've seen. Of course in order for u to run 21 psi I'd guess u had a low compression rebuild (or ran high octane 24/7). The only reason I bring it up is cus Evos make tons of tq depending on what turbo u go with and if the motor is built, what boost ur at, etc, etc. Set it up right and I don't think you'll have many compaints about 500+ft-lbs to the ground with no loss of traction...try that in a rwd. That being said, I absoutely love s2ks in any form and the ones you have owned and built are some of the finest I've seen. Someone with ur background will find themself right at home in a ct9a...welcome
