Evo bov sound (supra sound)
You can just delete the BOV and hope for the best. This sounds similar to that Type R and doesn't even need a BOV. If you want to sound just like that Supra, get a bigger turbo and don't run a BOV on that one either.

Why not? Be like this Evo guy with his stock turbo and badly setup Tial BOV. Best noise ever yo!

If no one realized it yet, I'm being sarcastic. That Tial has a very stiff spring and isn't opening up at all.

As mentionned, what you seem to be looking for is a BOV that doesn't vent properly...
The sound you want is (most likely) compressor surge. There's no "proper way" to get compressor surge. Either the BOV/DV vents and you get some form of "psh" or it doesn't and you get compressor surge.
you should get tial then, it sounds almost like that sound that you want and its a very good bov. i used to have it on my race car. this is a vta one, i dont know anything about the car, but seems like for drive-ability reasons and vta, speed density is the proper way to do it. otherwise recirc.

The videos you posted up of the BOV sounds are also not setup correctly. The springs are set too stiff and are hardly opening up. If you want this sound, adjust yours hard. It'll flutter like crazy since the BOV will open very little.
Maybe your right, suprastore sells the greddy type r and they even have the video of the supra as a reference of how it sounds.
If i go with this bov what size of outlet hose do i need and the spring pressure ? my evo at idle sits at 10in/hg and im using the stock recirculating hose.

When I bought my evo it had a recirculated hks , it's still on there. Super loud and annoying ( sounds like the OP video), not sure why anybody wants this sound. It was ok for the first couple of days but now I try to stay out of boost so I don't have to hear it lol.

In short, the black 6 psi spring.
The outlet size is 1.25".
And I'm curious. Do you want a direct replacement BOV or weld on? Because the Tial QR is a weld on BOV where you have to weld on the flange in order to use it. Then run a custom rubber piping back into the intake piping.
Forge makes a nice diverter valve. Otherwise, OEM IX works really well and there isn't a need to replace it unless you're planning on running higher boost.
